Step 1: Accessing the Command Centre
When you first open SilverLine Mobile, you will be greeted by the standard home screen. To begin customising the device, tap the 'Settings' button at the bottom of the screen five times in quick succession. You will then be prompted to create a secure six-digit Master PIN. Please ensure it is memorable, as you will need this passcode to authorise any future modifications.
Step 2: Personalisation and Theme
This section allows you to make the phone feel welcoming and familiar. You can enter the user's name so the home screen greets them personally each day. You also have the option to select from three premium, high-contrast Nebula background styles, or you can upload a favourite family photograph to serve as a custom backdrop.
Step 3: Safety and Emergency Information
This critical section is designed for ultimate peace of mind. Here, you can assign a primary SOS phone number, which is dialled instantly if the user holds down the large red SOS button on their home screen. You can also input vital medical details, such as allergies or current medications. If first responders tap the red ICE (In Case of Emergency) indicator on the home screen, this essential health information is displayed immediately.
Step 4: Family Hub Contacts
The Family Hub acts as a visual, frictionless speed dial. Simply type in the name and phone number of a relative or friend, then tap the button to add a Family Bubble. When the user opens the Family Hub on their home screen, they will be presented with large, clearly labelled buttons, making calling their loved ones as simple as a single tap.
Step 5: Application Management and the Play Store
To prevent the home screen from becoming cluttered or confusing, only the applications you explicitly approve will appear. Scroll to the 'Home Screen Apps' section and select the specific apps they actually need, such as the Camera or WhatsApp. You can easily reorder or remove these at any time. Furthermore, to protect the user from accidental downloads, confusing updates, or unexpected charges, access to the Google Play Store is intentionally restricted to this secure Command Centre.
Step 6: Accessibility Adjustments
If visual impairment is a concern, you will find dedicated accessibility controls at the bottom of the menu. Activating 'Gigantic Font Mode' will increase the size of the clock and all button text for easier reading. Alternatively, enabling 'High Contrast' mode will remove all background imagery and glass effects, replacing them with a stark, highly legible black-and-white interface.
Step 7: Saving and Exiting
Once you have configured the device to your liking, simply tap the back arrow at the top left of the screen to exit. There is also an option to reset the Master PIN here should you ever need to. The home screen will instantly refresh with your new settings, leaving the user with a clean, secure, and completely tailored mobile experience that simply works.
