Our Commitment to Privacy

SilverLine Mobile ("the App") is developed with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy. We believe your data belongs to you. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, simplified mobile experience for seniors without compromising their personal information.

Data We Process

Unlike traditional launchers, SilverLine Mobile does not use external servers to store your personal data.

Contact Information: Family names and phone numbers stored in your "Family Hub" are kept locally on your device's internal storage. We do not upload these to any cloud service.

Emergency Info (ICE): Your medical notes (allergies, medications, blood type) are stored strictly on your phone.

Security PIN: Your Command Centre PIN is encrypted and stored locally. We have no way to recover or view this PIN.

Permissions and Technical Data

To provide essential safety and utility features, the App requests the following permissions:

Precise & Coarse Location

Purpose: To deliver live weather updates to the device.

Data Sharing: Anonymous coordinates are transmitted to our forecasting partner, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway). Absolutely no personally identifiable information is attached to this request, and SilverLine Mobile does not retain or track a history of the device's physical location. 

Phone / Outgoing Calls

To facilitate the SOS and Family Hub features. The App only initiates a call when you specifically trigger these buttons.

Camera

Purpose: Used solely to operate the device's LED for the Flashlight feature. We do not record or transmit images or video.

Storage / Photos:

Purpose: To allow you to set a personal photo as the Home Screen background.

Third-Party Services

SilverLine Mobile utilises MET Norway for live weather updates. They only process anonymous GPS coordinates to fetch your local forecast and never receive any user account information from us. 

Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored locally, you have total control.

Manual Deletion: You can edit or delete family bubbles and ICE info anytime within the Command Centre.

App Uninstallation: Deleting the SilverLine Mobile app from your device will permanently erase all locally stored settings, contacts, and medical info.

Emergency Lock Screen Generation 

Purpose: To create and apply a custom 'In Case of Emergency' (ICE) wallpaper to the device's lock screen.

Data Handling: The medical details and emergency contact numbers you provide are processed entirely locally on the device to generate the wallpaper image. We do not upload, transmit, or store this sensitive personal and health information on any external servers. 

Safety & Liability Disclaimer

SilverLine Mobile is a software utility and not a certified medical or life-saving device. The SOS feature relies on your device's cellular connection and battery. We are not liable for any failure to connect to emergency services due to network outages or hardware failure.

Compliance (GDPR / CCPA / 2026 Standards)

We comply with the latest 2026 Android safety standards. By keeping data local, we ensure your personal information is never subject to server-side data breaches.
