“We / Us / Karter” means Karter IT Solutions.
“You / Client / User” means any visitor or person who uses the website or books a service.
“Services” means IT support, diagnostics, remote support, on-site visits, consultancy, and any ancillary services described on the site.
3. Scope of services and acceptance
Service descriptions, prices, and availability shown on the website are indicative and subject to change.
A booking is accepted only when we confirm it by email or calendar invitation; until then it is a request only.
We provide services as an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship.
4. Pricing, estimates and payments
Prices shown are in GBP and exclude any third-party costs unless stated.
Payment terms (e.g., deposit, full prepayment, or payment on completion) will be shown at booking or in the confirmation.
We may accept payments via card, bank transfer, or payment processors; payment details will be clear at checkout.
Refunds and cancellations follow the policy shown at booking; where no specific policy applies, cancellations by you within 24 hours of a scheduled remote appointment may forfeit the fee.
5. Access, client responsibilities and equipment
You must provide accurate information and reasonable access to devices, accounts, passwords and premises where required.
You remain responsible for backing up data before we provide any service. We will take reasonable care, but we do not accept liability for data loss where you have not taken a reasonable backup.
You warrant you own or have authority to provide access to any devices, software or accounts you ask us to work on.
6. Remote access, security and privacy
Remote sessions require your explicit consent before connection. You must only allow remote access when present and aware of what we are doing.
We will follow best-practice security steps while working but cannot guarantee protection against all cyber risks.
Our privacy practices are set out in the website Privacy Policy; by using our services you agree we may process contact and booking data necessary to provide services.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Karter’s liability for any loss, damage or claim arising from services or use of the website is limited to the fees paid for the particular service.
We will not be liable for indirect, special, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data) even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide services with reasonable skill and care, but do not guarantee that all problems will be resolved or that a particular result will be achieved.
We do not warrant uninterrupted access to the website or that information will be error-free.
