These terms explain the rules for using the Karter IT Solutions website (https://www.karteritsolutions.net) and booking our services. By using our site or booking a session, you agree to these rules.
Any prices or descriptions on our site are a guide and may change. A booking is only "official" once we have confirmed it with you via email or a calendar invite. We work as an independent business, not as your employee.
All prices are in GBP (£).
Any extra costs from third parties (like software licenses or parts) are not included unless we say so.
We’ll let you know when payment is due (e.g. upfront or on completion) when you book.
If you cancel a remote appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, you may still be charged the fee.
Information: You must give us accurate details and the necessary access (passwords/logins) to help us do our job.
Backups (Important): You are responsible for backing up your data before we start work. While we take every care, we are not responsible for lost data if you haven't made a backup.
Ownership: You must own (or have permission to use) any device or account you ask us to work on.
Remote Support and Privacy
We will only connect to your computer remotely if you give us permission and are present to see what we are doing.
We follow strict security steps, but we cannot guarantee 100% protection against all online risks.
How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. By booking with us, you agree that we can use your contact details to provide the service.
To the extent the law allows, the most we will ever owe you for any claim or damage is the amount you paid for that specific service.
We are not responsible for any indirect losses, such as loss of business, profit, or data.
We do not limit our liability for anything that cannot be excluded by UK law (such as injury caused by our negligence).
We promise to use our professional skills to help you, but we cannot guarantee that every technical problem can be solved or that a specific result will always be achieved.
All text, images, and logos on this site belong to Karter IT Solutions. You are welcome to view or print pages for your own personal use, but you must not copy or use our content for business purposes without our written permission.
Cancellations and No-Shows
If you frequently miss appointments without telling us, we may ask for full payment upfront for future bookings.
For home visits, please allow a little "buffer time" for travel. If we arrive and cannot get access to the property, a call-out fee may apply.
If you are unhappy with our service, please email us right away. We will investigate the issue and do our best to put things right.
We may update these terms occasionally. If we do, we will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date.
